CVB/Chamber Membership

• Quality education programs at our Annual Conference and Mid-Winter Education Conference.

• Resource Library - books, video tapes, and actual chamber/CVB working documents. We have information on operations, sales/marketing, budgets and budget planning.

• Idea exchanges among TACVB members. TACVB surveys its members regarding chamber/bureau structure, operating budgets, advertising strategies, staff compensation, hotel/motel tax revenues, trade show participation and more.  Free subscription onto the TACVB CEO List Serv and Professional Staff List Serv (open only to CVB/Chamber members).

• Cooperative sales blitz to Austin for calls on association, corporate and government meeting planners for experienced and novice convention sales staff members.  Membership to TxMET (only for CVB/Chamber members) for $500 annually.

TxMET is based on IACVB's MINT, the meeting industry database.  TxMET contains detailed profiles on over 900 meetings held in Texas.  It has information on over 1,850 meeting histories from associations, corporations, trade shows and sporting events.  Each detailed profile contains information on meeting demographics, room patters, meeting history, as well as future cities being considered. 

Benefits: 24 hour internet access to more than 800 meeting profiles; reports tailored to your bureau's needs; identify organizations with meeting requirements that match your city's capabilities; anticipate service requirements based on history; target specific off-peak and holiday seasons; obtain profiles to supply you with a powerful negotiating tool for sales closure; target specific market segments; and obtain targeted mailing lists.

• TACVB e-newsletter with industry updates.

• TACVB members are listed on our website at no extra cost, and the link to your website is free as well. We partner with the Texas Department of Transportation and Office of the Governor, Economic Development & Tourism on many programs.  TACVB Membership list can be e-mailed in Excel format to any member - CVB/Chamber or Affiliate for free.

• Job bank - should you have an opening in your organization, you may list a job description on our website or e-mailed to all members at no charge.
