• The 2010 Mid-Winter Education Conference will be in Granbury, Texas. 
• The TACVB Board of Directors approved the re-zoneing of TACVB's CVB/Chamber Members.  The state is now divided into three zones.  This will better serve and represent our membership.

Did You Know:

CVB's as a whole annually spend over $60 million per year on advertising.  On an average CVB dollars are spent on: 32% magazine ads, 19% brochures/maps,15% newspapers, 10% outdoor billboards, 11% internet, 7% radio/t. v., the remaining 6% is spent on direct mail campaigns, and giveaways.

TACVB Emergency

During times of statewide emergency, get the latest information about lodging availability on the TACVB Emergency Information site.

On this site, you will first establish some basic CVB information, a contact and password known only to you. You will then have a page to fill out information on all hotels in your area, including room availability and pet-friendly status.

During a crisis situation, each CVB will be responsible for updating the number of available rooms in their community on this site. This way emergency personnel, including the Texas Office of Emergency Management, can go online to our site and find available rooms in an affected area.
