Texas Meetings and Events
Tracking (TxMET) is a centralized database of historical and future
information of meetings which take place in Texas or regional/national
meetings that occur in Texas.
The TxMET system represents
a unique collaboration between TACVB Members . All of the information
entered in the system comes from subscribing Texas Partner Bureaus/Chambers
that agree to share detailed reports on meetings held in their cities.
Due to the collaborative nature of the database, we request that
each subscribing bureau do its part to keep the system up to date
and accurate.

FAQ
about TxMET:
TxMET
Meetings/Events are reportable if:
- The meeting uses 10 or more rooms on the peak night.
- It meets in Texas or is a regional/national meeting
that includes Texas.
- It is held on a regularly scheduled basis. (Do
not report a meeting that takes place only one time.)
- It can meet in more than two cities in Texas.
When should I report bookings?
Any meetings/events that become definite for your city should be reported
within 60 days of booking
When should I report meeting histories
that have been held?
Rules for TxMET subscribers are clear. Reports must be submitted
no later than 60 days after the meeting/event has concluded. For
example, a report for a meeting that ended January 14th is due March
14th .
Why is it important to provide verification
of a new organization?
New organization numbers are issued alphanumerically and it is vital
to TxMET that the reported name be accurate to prevent duplicates.
The computer system uses this name and number for all data entry
and if the name is entered more than once into the database, the
information is inaccurate. Verification submitted can be from the
organization's letterhead, business card, or website.
