As the Convention and Visitor Bureau Marketing Manager, you will:

  • Craft Impactful Content: Develop and manage engaging copy for websites, blogs, newsletters, and social media platforms. Proofread and edit materials to ensure high-quality messaging.
  • Promote Rockport’s Charm: Collaborate with influencers, manage press kits, and distribute marketing materials to highlight Rockport’s events, attractions, and hospitality offerings.
  • Engage with the Community: Act as a liaison to local businesses and organizations, fostering strong relationships to support tourism initiatives.
  • Represent Rockport: Attend tourism events, trade shows, and community programs to position Rockport as a top-tier destination.
  • Plan Memorable Events: Coordinate and execute events that align with Rockport’s tourism goals, handling logistics and post-event analysis.
  • Measure Success: Track and analyze key performance metrics, compile reports, and maintain promotional materials.

We’re seeking a candidate who is:
Knowledgeable: You have a solid understanding of marketing principles, tourism trends, event planning, and social media strategies.
Skilled: Proficient in Microsoft Office and content management systems, with exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
Adaptable: Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support events and programs.
Collaborative: A team player who excels at building relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
Experience: At least two years of experience in tourism, marketing, hospitality, or a related industry, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Enthusiasm: A passion for promoting vibrant communities and creating memorable visitor experiences.
