CHRISTINE FORD NAMED NEW ASSOCIATION SALES MANAGER AT VISIT PLANO

PLANO, Texas (Feb. 24, 2025) – Visit Plano’s Christine Ford has been promoted to Association Sales Manager after serving as the Event Servicing Coordinator since October 2023.

In her previous role at Visit Plano, Ford expertly assisted the sales team with logistics and servicing for group meetings, conferences, and sports events. Prior to joining the organization, Ford served as a conference and event sales manager with the Aberdeen Performing Arts in Aberdeen, UK, where she worked closely with the Aberdeen Convention Bureau and Visit Scotland. Ford earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Travel and Tourism Business, and graduated with honors from Glasgow Caledonian University in her native Scotland. 

In her new role, Ford is responsible for booking association conventions, meetings, events and securing hotel room nights in Plano.

During its 2023-2024 fiscal year, Visit Plano hosted 158 events, including corporate, association, sporting, SMERF, and government meetings and events, resulting in a total of 48,000 room nights.
