Visit McKinney Promotes Alisha Holmberg to Assistant Director

[McKinney, TX – Sept. 9, 2024] Visit McKinney is pleased to announce the promotion of Alisha Holmberg to the role of Assistant Director. Previously serving as the Meeting & Event Services Manager, Holmberg’s extensive experience in hospitality has made her an invaluable member of McKinney’s convention and visitors bureau team. In her new role, Holmberg will work closely with Executive Director Aaron Werner to lead the organization in its mission to promote McKinney as a premier tourism destination. She will continue to oversee meeting and event services while taking on expanded responsibilities, including strategic efforts with the sales team, visitor center and retail store operations, and other initiatives aimed at growing the city’s appeal to visitors and fostering partnerships within the community.

Holmberg joined the Visit McKinney team in 2022 after almost 10 years spent in the Town of Addison’s tourism and economic development offices where she worked closely with Addison’s hotels and other tourism partners and was involved in coordinating special hotel packages for visitors to the town’s well-known Kaboom Town, Oktoberfest, and other events. Prior to her time in Addison, Holmberg served as a flight attendant for six years. With almost two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Holmberg’s new position reflects her outstanding contributions to Visit McKinney’s growth and success.

Holmberg and her husband Brandon have lived in McKinney for more than 10 years. The couple has two children and a dog.
